DIY potting soil substrate for a planted tank

    One of the things that the potting soil might be short of in the future is Fe ... not sure if you have done this but look at nails

    Growth is looking very good.

    What's the latest with your setup and are you running a co2 system in that tank?

    Tank is doing fantastic. Planted the hell out of it. Know co2 used excel when I remember.

    Excelent planted tank.UM Where do the discus go not much space left.How many discus do you have.If this works like to se 4-6 foot tank planted like that (AND THER WUD BE SPACE FOR FISH TOO.dnt think you need co2 ur plants are booming as it is and too much co 2 can be bad for fish, u gotta controll it.Nice tank dude hope it works well in the long run.

    Hi know discus in that tank. Discus require warm temperatures a specially when they are still young and are eating a lot. Co2 with potting soil can be used but, is not required.

    but isn't this the same tank you have on simply as your avtar with discus in the picture?

    No it is not. Discus in a 4foot extra high BB tank and, the planted is a 3 foot.

    Yes pics please.That tank of yours getting out of hand last i saw.Really taking nicely dash.Why dnt you keep 20 female bettas in there they would love the landscaping dude

    Having a problem with some pond snails but, have it a trim and clean up. Will take some picks in the morning.
