    Thanks @mattie

The one on the far left came in as a red snakeskin but as its matured it seems to have a hint of what they call oriental dream. So will in time like to use it for breeding.

The chap on the far right is a snow leopard.

These eggs were laid on a cone in the main tank, so unfortunatley most of the eggs have been eaten. But its past the 48hour mark now and there are definately some that are fertile. Not expecting any to survive another night, but its a start.

Will post an egg pic for you to see.

Eggs over 48hours from being laid. Hope you can see the black dot in the eggs that should be fertile. There are white unfertilized eggs visible too. Now have 4 pairs spawning on a regular basis but havent got to the wriggler stage yet.

Okay, all the eggs that are left look fertile so at least you know they are a proper pair and not mock breeding females. Its all good practice for them as a couple so when it comes to them being in the best conditions and environment (when there breeding tank is ready) they will have a larger chance of getting it right.

Have you tried to pair off a couple of the same strain that you know the definite sex of yet?

Excuse me changing the subject but how is your fish room coming on?

Yeah, at the moment its a case of allowing the fish to form pairs and identifying who is who in the zoo. Ive identified 4 pairs so far but not holding out too much for any wrigglers yet, as the males may be a bit young still.

Im not sure if you recall those 2 large cubes in reception? Ive got them set up for breeding tanks now and each is home to a pair. The other 2 pairs are still spawning in the main tank.

The fish room at home just needs to get connected.....perhaps now is the time.
