wow and again wow, they have turned out great.

actually 28 in this rig, along with a breeding pair of sterbais and an overgrown ancistrus.

then 14 in my old converted plant tank and a pair in one of my large front cubes.

Sold off the other 39 i had.

 

have you filled that six foot bow front that was in the corner yet and put some in there yet?

 

lol, contemplating keeping that for grow-out for when these guys start raising young.

just collected a 1.2 x 0.5 x 0.6, 10mm glass, rimless on a stand for 200bucks.

I do miss Gumtree over here I find myself going there now and then and drooling at the tanks I cant get my hands on.

 

The tank ive just collected. Stand needs some added support, sandblast and powder-coat and the tank will get a divider. This will give me 2 x cubes 0.6 x 0.5 x 0.6

 

Nice overflow on the one end but I am sure you wont be using that for the breeding setup. I am considering selling all my lot as I have got less time here with my new job and all but I will be looking for something less high maintenance to replace them for now and I am sure I wont be able to stay without Discus for too long.

 

Might install a divider and create 2 'cubes'. Tank has nice height to it. Then pop a sump underneath with an adjacent trickle filter similar to my main rig.

 

oh okay that will work but you need to remember the fry when they are free swimming and you will prob have to fit a fine sponge or some sort of fry catcher.

 

For sure, I hear you. Need to get to the fry stage first though. In the meantime, a recirculating sump/trickle filter is far easier to manage the water conditions.
