    Hi @pHish_man

    Nooooo!!! You must raise em AND breed them. There is always a chance that an exception to rule occur. Who knows what might happen. Id definitly breed them!!!

    Ok, have just set up a grow out to house these guys separately and will put a huge NOT FOR SALE sign on their tank. Fortunately there is a second batch of young growing out, so will have some of these bar-less guys available in about 2 months time. The parents have spawned again last week but ate the eggs. This week's spawn is looking good, lets hope they don't eat this lot.

    @HennieRoux

    Thanks for the compliment. Of this spawn, I have retained 6 of the leopard snakes and sold off most of the rest. This leopard is up for sale, but im toying with the idea of keeping him to breed with next season. I quite like the fact that there is a lot of blue on him, and the lines across the forehead are quite attractive.

    Let me sift through some photos and I will load some of the leopard snakes.

    Ok, here are some photos of the leopard snakeskins which are the result of crossing the leopard male with the snakeskin female last year. These guys are now a year old and hopefully will be in the mood to breed next year. Then if all goes well, there may be a pairing up between the leopard snakes and I will aim to intensify the red spotted pattern throughout the fish. Sorry about the poor quality images, but it gives one an idea of what I am aiming for:

    Here one can see the intense red and blue colouration of one of my male leopards almost 3 years old now. Hopefully this intense colouration will carry over to the leopard snakes.

    Ive kept this fish aside with the rest of the leopard snakes. His pattern is not as spotted as the rest of his siblings, but he was selected for his outstanding shape.
