Just a Quick Updated, all fish are doing great after yesterdays move, they seem to be happy and have eaten this morning.

Now waiting for the 1st Drops of these.

 

Good to hear, they should be quite tough.

 

Found 2 fry hiding in the corner of the Big Blues tank this morning. Seems like these guys eat there fry.

Hopefully i will catch more next time. There are still more females that need to drop so keeping an eye on them.

That must be the first fry of the challenge

Normally the female delivering won't but if she is still with the other females and males they will.

I normally had each female separated in my breeding rack and removed the female as soon as she was done.
Never bred them as a group. Maybe add some of your other small guppies just to fool them into thinking the fry is to big to eat, normally works.

You you will also get small batches of around 10-15 fry this time round as this will be there first drops ever.

 

Thanx @Vis kept them as a group up to now but i am moving them all to separate tanks. I want to try and maximize on fry collection.

I designed a breeding trap that is big enough to leave the female in but allows the fry to fall out. Maybe I should start selling them as they are hundred percent bett than the small traps available in the LFS.

 

I have a special drop tank. I just ran out of space so i am using the drop tank for the Blues at this stage. Will go and buy some extra tubs this morning

Feed them enough microworms and they will be big in 2,5 months.

Curious too see what they will be.

 

Already fed them some this morning. They seem to love them. Hatching some BBS as well so i can give micro and BBS.

Instaled the fry saver in my Drop tank. Only females in the drop tank now. Seems like 3 of the females still need to drop.

Yes it's about time for all of them, the male was introduced at the same time.
Except the big female but you need to keep her fry separate anyway.

 

Yes i have the big female seperated from these females.

Hopefully I will catch more fry with the fry saver installed

Second female busy dropping fry. 14 so far. The fry saver works awesome.

Wil come check it out some day. The original mother once dropped 94 fry
These female are still young and small.

 

Total of 55 fry and 3 eggs with eies. Not bad.

Wondered if this will still happen, always got 3-5 eggs when they gave birth.

Well if the I others also drop the same amount you're gonna have a big bunch to select the best males from.
