death by winter

lol no not at all

the thing is i learnt this myself the hard way, that you cant put just any type of fish in an outside or / semi outside environment, lost lots of fish befor understanding that they just cant take the ups and downs in temperature... even if they dont die immediately, it messes with their immune system.

mine was also in a sheltered section under the carport thingy..

i should have done more research and i felt like i could have kicked myself

so i settled for guppies and white clouds in my outside tank, tiger barbs as well, but had to move them inside once it started to get to winter temperatures, the white clouds and guppies were doing fine tho..

fish in my next outside tank will be rosy barbs, platties, swords and tiger barbs, but that will be a big tank outside..

if there is one thing about keeping fish in an outside tank, it makes them very very strong and robust and their offspring will carry that strength as well.

try some swords in that outside tank and you may end up with some giant colorful swords

always remember tho, add your fish in summer so that they can adjust slowly to the winter temperatures.
