I don't want to get myself involved in this matter but I think that if you can't say something good or helpful about a thread then rather say nothing and then you don't start a :boxing:

This site is suppose to help one another so please if their is something you dislike, rather leave the thread alone

If I see Henk's name on the forum it reminds each time when someone asks to identify the plant and the first person to respond is Henk saying it's illegal and on the black list.

 

I do it to all the newbies... if you are one of the few people that actually becomes an active member, I will start being "nice" to you and helping you with your threads and posts.

Some of the people get pi$$ed off, go away, and then rejoin under a new name, and then do it properly. (i.e go to the introduction page etc).

 

awe zoom, i think your'll can take me as an active member...i online 5 days a week, during working hours, and sometimes after working hours on my cellphone...:noworry:

Only if they have another question to be answered yes. I'm on TASA all day, when I have spare time I would quickly browse through the threads and see if I can give any advice. A while back there was a thread on the chemicult and palmfibre peat that I found very useful and interesting...if people would only stay then they would see there is so much more to learn.

how does this forum decide who is active and who is not because it can 't be just posting, because I can count the posters on my fingers and toes?
I meant I am an active poster just look at my post count, but what about the noob that knows nothing at all and can only give his opinion once in a blue moon but he is on 7 days a week for 5 hours reading and so on.... would you class him as a active user as well?
I think we as a community that makes out as if we are just so awesome should start giving the noobs a little slack because no were in the rules of this forum (I might be wrong) does it say you have to be an active member to join and you know with the attitude so some people on this forum (like this thread) I can understand that people just join to get the answer to the problem and then leave.
This is just my opinion and I am not looking for a fight or trying to take any one on here at all.
I think some time we have to think about what we are going to type before typing it.

 

Any online member is considered to be an active member...I don't mind people coming on occasionally but as long as he is contributing and learning.

Gareth, whilst you may have a point but i disagree with what you say...solely and purely because i'm not clued up in this hobby as many of your'll are, i'm learning or trying to on a daily basis, i may not post advice all the time but who would if they aren't very knowledgeable about the hobby...but this does not mean that i'm not an active member, i'm just learning...and if you feel that us noobies have to pass a test before we can join a forum...then i'm sorry, i follow in the foot steps of wikus and leave...

 

As far as I know i is suppose to work with your Routers IP address but that is not 100% guaranteed because we don't have static IP's
