Great idea to get the awareness up on planted tanks. Albeit low tech, just got my sub and finished the hardscapes...

Oh bugger - see I made it onto the list .. suppose that means MTS gets another nudge .. now I need to go find a 40l bucket and start thinking about a build.

 

Not yet. I'll pm everyone specific details about how the layout of the journal must be. Also, maybe a pic at the half way point from everyone would be nice. I can upload them anonymously...

 

I hope we don't need pics of the build? 

 

You need to journal the process, so build pics would be beneficial.

On a technical point - is the display area of the nano limited to 40l or the total volume .. i.e HOB's + Tank < 40l or Tank + sump < 40l?

i think its tank volume..

 

Tank volume is limited to 40l. You can have as much filtration as you want after that. But the tank can not be more than 40 liters.

Hi Sean . . . seeing as I've been away for the weekend and come back to a VERY full thread... (which I am really lazy to page through)

Can I suggest this be used as the competition 'discussion' thread and a new thread be opened for more important matters like registration and rules. (since this thread has been filled up so nicely)
