wow lol this is really heating up. is there any specific format we should follow in the journal? this has actually come at a perfect time, after the crappy test i had today i need a distraction. tell me does the tiger lotus do ok with excel added? or does it melt? i'm assuming that pictures must be taken without hardware? must we put in a background? i think the pics will come out better. hmmm thinking laminated black cardboard.

I am leaving the hardware in, since I really cant remove my filter :p And I have found a nice way of hiding the heater. I'm still deciding what to add fish wise in the tank, need to find something that will do well with a male fighter.

White clouds are the least fussy fish ever. They can be kept in 15 degree water, up to about 29 degree water, so 25 will be fine for them!

LOL! This thread has made me set up a temporary nano tank today! I have some HC from shihr, and a little HM from Algae Wizard, a rock and some substrate. Lot's of light and some Tropica ferts... Let's see if I can make it carpet for me. I really hope it does.

Seriously, I have a spare 1ft tank if you want one? @Skye01

:D so amped! It's been four days and my Rotala stems are sprouting roots :D some of the other plants are not doing as well so I extended the photo period from 7 hours to 12 hours to hopefully help.

Also decreased my excel dose by 50% to see if this might be the cause of my lilaeopsis thinning.

Just enjoying the algae free days I'm having while I can. . .

Added one male and one female platy but stocking will change as soon as I can source some nice schooling fish. . .

I did a cruel and terrible thing (well at least my male fighter seems to thing so - he is flaring at me if I come close to the tank :p) I added my white clouds yesterday and what a difference it makes to the tank. I can let it slip that I did finally manage to get my new glolux 8W T5's. Something that is harder to find than chicken teeth :p But the difference just that has made over 2 days is amazing. Now to leave well enough alone, no more fiddling for at least a week.
