Speedz, you guys in Durbz start grabbing your jerseys then it hits 23, but it does not really get much colder then that. Plus the tank will be indoors, meaning it will most probably not get as cold as outside temp. I will venture and say you can keep almost all fish sold in a lfs in a tank in Durbz without a heater, try barbs, livebearers and betta's , stay away from tetras.

CarlP, try the pond at the botanical gardens, go scoop some daphnia between the biesies during summer and you will most likly get some bass fry, also an interesting livebearer's I was not capable of IDing, (possibly wild guppys, but no colour). Also where the municipal dam flows over the sluices, you will find umting fry trying to swim against the current. While in the botanical gardens, check in the left hand reservoir (the one that does not drain) if you find any mutant Malawies

true, at the moment i've got angels(have layed eggs once) and cories in a 3ft indoors without any heater so im guessing it will be fine. The problem is that sometimes the electricity just goes off and it causes havoc with the fishtank equipment.

Bronze comets are just a colour variation of normal goldfish, Casuarius auratus auratus, so their aggression levels shouldn't be any different to what you'd expect of any other goldfish.

I have one comet in my gold fish tank and he's not aggresive at all just hyperactive, he can't sit still always shooting around the tank weaving in between the others, sometimes he moves so fast that he catches a speed wobble and nicks a couple scales. He is totally like a hyperactive kid!!! lol!!! :)

i've been thinking about the bio load of keeping comets etc and im not to keen on it, so i've decided to make the tank a livebearer tank. In about 2 weeks time i'll add some guppies and mollies. They are going to love the 4ft home
