I will look into getting some more barbs, I like the ruby barbs though and would like to keep them.

I have had the widows for a very long time and would rather keep them, I am looking for more cories but cant find any at the petshops i go to.

The paradise fish are a pair, so would it be okay to take one away, they always swim together and stay very close to each other so again I wanna keep them.

I have another 30L tank that I can setup for the gouramis if that will do but why wont you keep them in the current tank?

Then the angel aswell is one of my first fish I got and she is close to three years old now, but if I can get a male krib for her I might swop her.

The clown loaches, I only paid R16 for one when I bought them and they were about 1-2cms when I got the and they are now close to 6cms and will keep them, I know they grow big but I plan on buying a 450-650L tank in the next year or two, so I might aswell get two more.

I have already removed the two plecos and will be removing the chines algae eaters as soon as I can find cories, if you know of a place that has some, please let me know, Im in Kempton Park myself.

Just a question, why wouldn't you keep the ruby barbs? They are bards after all?

 

That is awesome news a nice big school of Tiger barbs do look so sweeeet. No worries you can keep the Ruby barbs maybe just increase them to 6 as they also like bigger groups.

I was just giving advice not saying you have to get rid of them bud :nuts: Where do you buy your fishes from? Petstop SA in Pretoria has got plenty cories they are one of the sites sponsors.

Their fish are in great shape. Oh okay cool then I did not know the paradise fish where a pair, you just need to keep an eye on the behavior of all the fish at all times. So when you do notice a brawl going on between certain fishes then you can remove the smaller groups e.g. maybe your paradise fish etc. Like I say bigger groups of Tiger barbs get along with most fishes so if none of the fish give each other issues then keep the gouramies. No worries dude get another 2 clown loaches they are awesome fishes.

Answering your question on the Ruby barbs they are a bit timid for your mix of fishes. But like I mentioned keep an eye on their behavior and if all of them behave in the tank then keep them.

Ive already told him to keep me a male for mine, thanks. Whats the address for the petshop in PTA? I know you didnt say i must get rid of the fish but hey im here to learn from you guys. So all the info is appreciated.

I know kribs get aggressive once they breed but do you think it will be a good addition to my tank?

 

Honestly I dont know anything about kribs so I cannot answer this for you. If I was you I would rather just keep the one female the male might cause havoc in your setup think are are known to be on the more aggressive list of fish

I will give it a try then and see how things go from there, i hope if i add a male it doesnt cause havoc but i will keep an eye out on that to make sure nothing goes wrong.
