now u want the missus to hit me. imagine if i left the 80l bucket in the lounge for a few days lol.
But i will get the seachem and start using it. should i add only to water changes going forward or to the tank as well initially?
I have managed to get rid of alot of my fish. Now i need to find the time to research on this site some nice fish to keep. And plants,
    Thanks for the help.

Lol,well you can always try and fit it in a cabinet.I have a medium sized 130L drum in my room,it tipped over once and flooded the room.Fortunately the drum didn't break and i had no plugs on the floor at the time.

Seachem prime can be used to treat your tank water directly but it's better to add it to your water change water first. You can also add Seachem prime to your tank in an emergency if ammonia and other bi-products spike. It's temporary though.

Also don't add salt to future water changes,it should dilute each time you do a water change to the point where it won't effect the fish (etc 2-2.5 weeks if you do 30% water changes twice a week)

You should take a look at the other Seachem products as well, some great stuff.
