Misting twice a day would help.

Btw, I didn’t answer your other questions.
Morning sun is good. I wouldn’t keep them in full sun all day.
And yes, you can cut off the dead pitchers

“Hallo my name is Ben. I am 3 1/2 years old. (Mommy - Closer to 4 actually). Here are some pictures of my pitcher plant. I took the photos myself :D
I give it rain water. And then I give it live bugs. You must not tip the pitchers upside down otherwise it can’t digest any bugs. And I mist it with rainwater to keep it moist cause pitcher plants come from the rainforest where it is warm and rainy.

I see many new pitchers growing. Do you think I am taking good care of it? Cause mommy says if I take good care of it I can get another carnivorous plant. I would really like a Venus Flytrap also.

My Hermanus capensis are dying out, but the others are thriving. Gotta find a sunnier spot for futureIMG_20200703_140834.jpg

    Ben -
Looks like you are doing a good job of caring for the Nepenthes. Well done

    Mommy -
If you have a look on Google, you will see there is a nursery in SA that specialises in carnivorous plants.

“Thank you for telling me I’m good at taking care of pitcher plants :tt2:;):D Love Ben”

Cool thanks will look at those 2 suppliers, VFT are still dormant probably?

These carnivorous plants are really cool, halfway between a plant and a pet  we feed it isopods from the compost heap, but have actually also seen a fly get trapped! Fascinating to watch :)

Mid winter so they will have vestigial leaves.
Can buy them now. But resist the temptation to get them going too soon (too much warm), and when they are in full growth in summer, resist the temptation to fiddle too much. Just "let them do their thing"

His birthday end September might be a better time of year to get a VFT (our spring)?

PS @MariaS he insisted on typing the thank you message himself, including the favourite emoticons. He wanted to use “letters and smiley faces” and it’s meant to say thank you

That's a good price for a giant clump. Peter grows a lot of good plants, can always contact him if you want smaller bunches.
