    Advertising the get together I have no problem but advertising of the business is against sponsor rules so let's keep it as a members get together which is great idea

    oooh, visited RBM for the first time just a few weeks ago, amazing store, but I have to say, I am now considerably poorer. They have a great selection of products. Will see if I can make it, though. I do need some salt for my upcoming reef

    It could be a nice way to also get the forum sponsors more actively involved, which will obviously also be to their benefit (and the forum’s). Don’t think we have Cape Town based sponsors yet, they’re all upcountry.

    We thought a quick meetup at an aquarium store sounds like very little organisation and commitment, an easy way to do it, folks with specific interests can share their knowledge, and we can stock up on fish food while we’re at it. I’m sure it would help a store with publicity too, so a win-win.

    Had a plantar wart burnt with liquid nitrogen today - oooouch :(
    Will be easily recognizable as the woman hobbling along RBM, popping painkillers. Should perhaps bring a camping chair :lol:

    Evening all, dont worry about power outages we have generators running the shop. At least the big game is on Sunday so no need to worry about that as well....

    If I could please ask, Everyone attending the meet, could you please park at the building above us, otherwise there is no parking for the midas customers. I Would gladly appreciate it.

    It was really fun, casual and informative! Would be keen to do it again!

    Thanks so much @Gary_Bourn for having us and well done on an awesome shop! Fantastic for aquascaping and now also with an impressive range of fish and invertebrates. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. We had fun gawking at everything, meeting the faces behind the screens, and playing with your great plants :thumbup:

    Thank you @Hendre for organising and telling us more about the oddball fish. Sure you’ll enjoy your new poly :)
    @Cale24 for your help with the light choice and helping me grow as a hobbyist right from my first TASA post :thumbup:
    @Figeth for your guppy- and biology expertise. Dale looking forward to your discus tank. The two of you are going to have a whole fish house one day, never mind fish room :lol:

    - good selection of cories, including some rarer ones

    - various tetras including rummy nose
    - betas

    Bought my first ever invitro pot today, anubias nana petite R200 containing 6 healthy plants :thumbup:

    We should try and make it a monthly meet - maybe the first Saturday of the month or something?
