@Rooivlerkie, what can I say, Betta's are addictive and I have a real pasion for this beautiful fish. I am however cutting down on the amounts of spawn's though. A lot of people asked for specific strains and colour, but now that I have those at good cost to me, they disappeared... just goes to show... all talk and no show. I will however find home's for all my fish even if I have to give some away.

Hey Charles those fry are looking very healthy and I like the natural setup of the tank, what size tank is that? Can't wait to see when they are older

I agree betta's are addictive and an expensive hobby but the feeling of having them and breeding them is something else.I don’t know how you make it to t.c of so many betta’s I have 4 breeding pairs and 8 males and they keep me on my feet...

Send me a price list of what you want to sell and I will try to make a plan and hopefully get a few fish from you..... Durban needs some show stoppers

@St@tic, its a 1.5Ft curved tank. All my spawn and fry tanks are bare bottom, make cleaning and health issues much easier. PM sent.

    Hi everyone.

Time for an update. All my fry are doing great. The Blue Fire Dragon HM male X White HM female are growing fast, taking pics of them is a nightmare, I will try tonight again, they are going to be stunners I tell you. Mostly red fins with a blue-ish body and there are some that has blue fins with a yellow/green-ish look to them. One in particular is almost twice the size of the rest, also twice as fast...lol like I said, taking good pics is a nightmare. The Blue Fire Dragon HM male X Super Red Gold Dragon female fry are doing great as well, they are still on the small side so it's still useless taking picks of them. The Orange CT male X White CT female is also doing very well, they are still tiny but getting there, this is a big spawn, estimated at over 100 fry. Little off topic but the colour variations of my Blue Red DT male x Dark coloured STD female is absolutley stunning, I will post some pics of them soon. No pet shop I've ever been to had any of these. I'm very proud of this spawn and mommy and daddy of course.

These are from my Blue Red Double tail male X Dark coloured ST Delta female.

that red and blue is stunning @Charles! the ones i got from you seem to be doing better, theres less fighting and they growing very fast. i've also been able to release the one that was really badly beaten up and she seems to be holding up just fine as well. soon as the murkyness has cleared up i'll send you some pics.all egg spots are still visible ;-)

Thank you ladies and gents for the nice comments. What can I say? If your good, your good...lol. Just joking. I will be crossing these one's back to DT female's in the hope to get some DT offspring since they all carry the DT gene.

I will open a new tread on the DT Breeding as soon as I started breeding them. I want to keep this thread for my breeding of A Grade Show Quality imports only.

Hi all. I'm back from our much needed getaway at Mapungubwe. Very hot place but worthwhile none the less.

@BBQ, I have the twin of the Orange CT in #138 and I crossed him with my White CT female.
@Rooivlerkie, from the Black HM pair only 4 survived, they are still to small to post pics of them yet. Sadly the Black Copper HM male passed away recently. The female is still in good breeding condition.

I will try to take some pics tomorrow of the Blue Fire Dragon HM male X White HM female and post them. The Blue Fire Dragon HM male X Super Red Golden Dragon HM female spawn does not look that promising... One of the fry is deformed... looks like it's got a second cadual fin and no it's not a double tail. If I will get 10 keepers out of this spawn I'm lucky. What a disappointment. My White HM female did a disappearing act on me as well... gone... can't even find the remains...I ordered a White OHM female from Pet Stop amongst others...ofcourse.... hopefuly by 13 April 2012. I will keep you guys and ladies updated as time goes by.
