Borneo April 2017, Kuching

These caught my eye before - I just was not sure. While wondering about that one leaved plant


and admiring the stream and the sounds





I realized one thing... Buce needs clear water - and it does not need to be in that water.

 

I doubled back on the route to have a closer look at what I had found.






A real buce scpae ...

 

At this point - I am ready to go home... a perfect world - I was very very pleased with the trip.

Even with all the rain ... aaah it is a rain forest right,

It sure is an awesome environment - not that the locals think so - they hate the rain.

Next was one of those follow the group kinda things - a must do thing when you talk about Mulu. Pleased with the previous finds I was very content to just meander with the group.


Inspiration is around every corner







Very content, and getting some odd looks from the rest as to what I was taking pics of.

 

And then I became just a little obsessed ...



Plants just love the water in the rain forest

 

But that is OK








and the water was so clear



Even spotted this pitcher @Reedfish not sure if it natural or planted.

 

Then the real reward for the days effort

 

It just kept giving

 

In the water





and on the rocks






and wood

 

It was spectacular

 

I have observed so much on this - follow the normal pack hike.

 

All good things must come to an end.






and so will the rain forest as our need for mono culture products drive economies based on our demands

Its like being in fairy land...
I keep going through this thread over and over....from the first picture to the last.. its breathtaking...

 

I agree @MariaS - makes me wish we had all these plants locally available here... I would head out in an instant...
