Sorry to harp on the same subject here. But for clarification purposes, seeing as how shrimp are a grey area with regards to keeping yet illegal to import. Are locally bred freshwater shrimp species such as RCS allowed to be traded on TASA under the new rules or not?

My understanding is that you can trade RCS, including on TASA, but not import. However, the same is NOT true for freshwater crayfish or lobsters, that are known invasives. I was semi-shocked to see dozens of FW crays in a LFS in Ontdekkers Rd the other day.

As an aside (and not aimed at anyone in particular): A little bit of common sense goes a long way. Read up on the species you'd like to keep, and if they have any "bad press", just avoid them. Many aquarists seem to want to walk the tightrope and see how far they can stretch the law and the enforcement agencies. That is a $h!tty attitude, to say the least. We should all appreciate the many choices already available, and care more for our own environment and its incredible biodiversity.

Wow.. thank you for this list and the posts and discussions. I've always just avoided the fish who become really big and I watched with keen interest as the shrimp trade started booming, but I was not aware of the controversy! So I'll just take a step back to my South American beauties for the time being.;)

Shrimp are an odd one. Just checked on the blacklist and I saw that Datnoids are blacklisted @MariaS

Both work for me right now, but they may have been down for maintenance.

The above links are the 2014 blacklist

Please check the link for June 2016 list i provided on the blacklist forum

@Hendre... I dont see the Datnoid on 2014 or 2016 list?
Are you not confusing the Datnoid with Tiger fish, as although often referred to as Tiger Fish, Datnoids are not African Tiger Fish which is blacklisted

@Marcel_73 , the 2016 link is on the forum, have a look as I have just checked and its working
