I'm sure the oxygen levels would stay the same. They simply outcompete the other bacteria

These are typical class effects and claims for these type of products. As these products are not regulated (at least not as far as I know), and thus not subject to strict scientific scrutiny, you'll find they'll all have similar claims, but are unlikely to provide product specific, quantifiable, evidence of all the claims they make.
If you spend time reading the scientific evidence available, you'll realize there are still many unanswered questions with regards to the use of these products in aquaculture.
You'll be able to see the benefits in clearer water and reduced sludge.
I'm kinda sceptical when it comes to the claims of reducing heavy metals etc. You'll notice a lot if the language is pretty general such as "may help to, may be beneficial for, may assist with".
It's always good to read as much of the science as you can about products, and make up your own mind about use of them.
    Google will be your friend....

No discus water change max's every 3 days 30_40 % depending if I clean the sides .my 600 L tank is once a week Max 3 weeks it big over stock tank . angels try to bread in it . that's a sign that my water is fine .RO filter water.I did disconnect the second last filter .so it is not 100% RO water.and since I'm using this water . all my problems on end.

So , I got hold of the main guy , can't mention his name , but he is the guy that basically made Bio-boost , and he says - listen to this , he used to work for the same company that made Bio-vital for couple of years he invested in making that product , so he broke away from that company and started Bio-Boost of which he claims he "improved" the quality off.

I also repeat , as he said to me , These Bio products are water conditioners with added benefits , and are NOT a de-chloronising agents , so you still use one

These products all sound allot like the fertz game - some chemistry with confusing marketing messages and no true indication of what all is in the product.

AKWA also has this one .. .

Those of you using these. Are you dosing pre or post wc? Does it matter when it's dosed?

Im sure @Jwh said he adds it when he does water changes
I dont think it should matter when you do it so long as you dont do a water change straight after you add it or you will be defeating the object

I let water age in drums , then I add save to the aged water.. and let that aeriate , when I do a water change , my aged water is already good , so after the aged water has been added to my tank , I add the Bio Vital now...
I also run my tap water through a two stage water filter ( 5 micro sediment filter & activated carbon filter)
