True but I prefer to buy in bulk.only time I buy small quantities is when I try a new product that I'm unsure if it's something I will keep using

I haven't used the Bio Boost product, but from what i can see on the label it seems similar to Bio Vital etc. Problem is non of these products fully describe what they contain, so its difficult to compare. I would have no problem giving it a try. I have around 5000l of tanks, so a bucket like that will last me a year.

@neltf, if you use this stuff dissolve it in some tank water and add after a water change, it will make you water cloudy, but after a couple of hours/ next day you'll have super clear water...

I need to get me some of this, especially since I've been so lazy with maintenance.

I suppose you can, but i would not use these products in place of water changes, they reduce buildup of gunk in your filters, but i don't believe you'll see a significant reduction in nitrate creep, so despite what some of these products claim, they do not obviate or reduce the need for water changes.

    Thanks.. good to know..

@neltf ... I like learning and listening to those that have experience on certain things which is sometimes more valuable than just reading a label

If im going to use it right now... I havent really decided to yet...
As i have said before my tanks are over the top with filtration at the moment for the fish and their size
My filters are not getting very dirty at all at this stage so i will probably hang in there and if they start growing and i see that i need to use it, yes i will.

The other thing in my favour, i target/hand feed all my fish... when they dont take anymore i dont give more food so im never left with food or pieces of food laying at the bottom of the tank.
Yep... takes patience but i enjoy the interaction i get with my fish by doing that
