Betta / Fighter Fish

I love those colors

 

If only I could get a decent pic, does not do justice at all.

 

I fish they weren't so aggressive. I would have a tank full of them.

 

I've replaced my Betta that passed away recently , this one will stay in the bowl:

 

How big is your bowl and how many water changes do you preform Miller?

 

Its a big glass bowl but my last one died because I used an old chemical that only removed the chlorine and not the chloramine. This one is happy in the bowl. I will do a water change every week with seachem alpha or seachem prime. If they wernt so aggressive I would have it in my big tank.

 

Thanks man, I just keep goldfish these days in my tanks, really tempted to get a nano or large bowl for a Betta.

'' I used an old chemical that only removed the chlorine and not the chloramine'' not Daro by any chance, saw Daro Aqua Chlor and bought a couple of boxes, never used it as I prefer Tetra Aquasafe, spur of the moment buy.

@Saturn, I only use seachem now for my water change, get some Seachem Alpha/Prime it works well

 

Got these from a friend, not sure what kind of bettas they are haha

This was my first Betta a Dumbo. Sadly he passed about a month ago.


The replacement male, Crowntail.


And then the latest addition Syco a Koi. Got his name after jumping out of the tank less than 24 hours after getting him. Had him back in the tank, no idea how long he was out of the water, and he was begging for food 15 minutes later.

Thanks @Michealvdb If everything works out with the Koi I will add a female Koi shortly.

 

Have never seen the Koi Bettas.....but very cool looking.

Some stunning fishies!!! Wish we could get some proper ones here in the Cape. :cry: Every now and then you might find a nice one but yeah.

 

Cant you buy from a breeder or order through Pet Stop?
