I bought my self a eco-Aqua heater, they had it on special at pet city,it can adjust to the temprature outside.lets say it's sumer then the temp in the tank will be around 25-27 but when it's winter the temp can be 20-23.the guy at the pet shop says it's perfect for breeding fish.i don't really know why temp has anything to do with it,maybe someone who has had fry can tell me?

it encourages natural behaviour ie spawning .
along with water conditions etc etc.

with fish that spawn in summer some people find fish spawn after a water change. the fish feel like its the rainy season.
its almost like you are replicating the seasons . I don't know how that heater works but remember the change in temp for most fish has to be gradual . a drastic change means probs .

''titanium'' haeters they range from R450+++
and thats sum times the china junk .they are for big to huge tanks like 400++ and have suposedly pinpoint accuracy ,wich i never seem to get of a glass one , mine always sits at 27++ on both the elite and jager yip pretty hot .the principle of the stainless steel haeter is the element and thermometer go into the tank like a probe and the thermostat controller is connected to it out side the tank with a dile control or lcd screen to set the temp and monitor it .i did the research on this becoz i hated the glass heaters as they kept on defaulting and cracking and never provided the rated liters power ,as my tank used to sit on 24- on the 300w heaters ,but since my jager 300w and its 1000 liter capacity and freakishly long tube there is no haeting issues but temperature ones.

the two jager's i have in my tank work brilliantly. The one is set a degree lower than the other and I've never seen it on. Use it just as a backup.
