Did anybody see the expo on TV this morning?

 

I recorded it, will watch tonight.

 

Great news. Please save it to Youtube or the like and post the link for all to view. Not the whole show, just the 12 odd minutes. There is a lot of interesting stuff on there. The clip is about 20-25 minutes into the show and lasts for about 12 minutes. I think. enjoy.

 

Care to share your views on the clip.

 

Seem like very little enthusisam here.... wonder what the sponsors and all those that made the expo happen are thinking???

I only came back to this thread now. I was at Aquarium Expo and thought it was really well done and a great learning curve for future events.

To be honest, I was not over the moon about the TV coverage. Perhaps I should accept the TV show in it's context - having never watched the show prior to the AquariumExpo coverage -but I did not feel it was very well done. However, we can never pull our noses up at TV coverage so the saying "better than nothing" seems very fitting.

 

Quick question, I hate to bring up old stuff (that's a lie...I mean, who doesn't love being nostalgic, life always seemed so much simpler)...

...anyhow, back to my question. Who's smooth criminals do we need to pet to make another expo happen? Great way to get the hobby out there and getting people into it. Like Ray said: "build it, they will come"

People/companies shouldn't try and make money of the expo...just get people interested in the hobby (meaning, dont charge a R500 entrance fee), once their imagination is sparked...they'll go and buy the stock and equipment from the retailers.

Or is this a bad...bad idea...? Which is why we haven't seen a fish expo in forever (yet, there's more reptile expos annually than I can count)

 

Deadpool this is your first statement on this forum which I fully indorse.
I suppose a couple of sponsors of this forum would be more than capable to host an expo, might even host a fish show (Koi / Goldfish / Tropical) competitions as well.
The interest is there.

 

if some thing like this was to happen i would be there and i know i just cant help spending money when you see things you like.
