Right thanks again for the help guys! Believe it or not I re-did the entire scape again! I will have to live with this one for a while as I dont think its fair on my plants or fish's. I have to say red eye tetra's are incredibly strong fish! This time I have tried to go with a V shape silhouette and I have stuck with all the same type of rock and have hopefully worked in all the 3 dimensions. The tank is very unsettled and there will be some fine tuning but you'll get the idea. Im just waiting for the water to clear a little more and then ill put pics up in about an hour or so.

I would like to give a big shout out to @gdt78 who took the time and effort to post some plants down to me. Some are in 3 foot and some in this 30l tank. anyways pics to come shortly and hopefully you guys will like this one! It might be a common design so I apologise if its the same as alot of other peoples but my girlfriend just came up with the idea last night.

So here the pics. Hope it is an improvement. The idea is for the java moss to full out and me to trim it so it fulls in the whole bottom section. Must say I find taking pics very frustrating cause it just makes every thing look flat and less defined as to what it looks like in real life. Then again I am using my phone for pics.

    - it took me ages to figure it out - and I have the blonde's as an excuse!

If you're on a thread, and look on the left hand bottom corner of some-ones post, you'll see a star and a triangle. (Under the username...) if you click on the star, then you get a prompt to say if you agree... give it a bash... it's underused.

If you click on the triangle, you're reporting to the mods... in either instance, do leave a message... hth?

im currently dosing ,potassium, phosphorous, excel and flourish comprehensive on this tank, doing weekly water changes and have 26watts of lighting. Was just wondering if there are any suggestions as to what else I can do to help this tank grow eg: Im not dosing with nitrogen, is it pretty critical I dose with nitrogen as well? and should you do water changes more then once a week?

    Hi CharlieB

Messed around with your scape a bit.

Ok the blue lines are the major lines you would want to follow to create more depth in your tank. So redirect your path on the right to go more left. If you can use smaller pebbles.

The pink line if your focus in the tank so you can put something interesting there if you wish.

The plants circled in yellew should move to the side and somewhat to the front. Add a plant that is a little smaller just behind that where the yellow ones are standing now. It should give the effect that its in the distance far behind the plants in the front you are looking at.
The green space you gonna need to fill with plants.

The top curve should be the top of your plants when you are done and have trimmed somewhere in the future.

Just my ideas but you can do it like you want :)

P.S try and get your substrate higher at the back sloping forward.

If you have trouble maintaining the slope - cut some sections from a 2l Coke bottle and use them as "baffles" in the substrate..... works a charm to keep slopes from collapsing...he,he

@Vis, wow now that is giving me some detail haha! great thanks, I will sit down have a look at the tank and take it all in. With regards to the substrate do you mean it should be raised in the corners only or the whole tank raised from the back forward?

Hi Charlie, back forward. The plants will create most of the "levels"

Remember to think in 3, foreground, middle and back. They should flow into each other, not just foreground and then right into the high background.
