Big G, perhaps you could be entering some of these fascinating pics into the new "parenting" photo comp. Looks like a very attentive mother you've got there. (let's not discuss the other pair, until they've stopped eating their young)

But I think being a Mod excludes me from the Comp since I'm one of the judges.. Hehe!

As for the other pair, I am not certain that they did eat the last lot? I actually think the eggs were not viable because she laid them within two days of arrival! I cannot even be sure they were fertile to begin with? I guess we'll find out in about 6 days if this batch are?

Ah well, pity about that, I suppose we might start a riot if a mod & judge won a competition.

Ok, update time!

Pair number one appear to have lost ALL their fry! I'm not sure why, but I think they may have eaten them ALL?

Pair number two have around 50 fry! Woohoo!

Its so cool to watch the parents look after them! Quite fascinating!

I'll try and get some pics of the mom and her brood asap, but dunno if the pics will be any good?
