    Thanx @Marco

That is the ONE significant difference between Scallare and Altum. The "snobbish" nose can actually be seen in some hybrids like my "velvet black" angel male. My blue angels again have 3 bars, the male have normal eye pigment and the female the red eye. I don't have any Altums or Peruvians in my angel tank. I am still working on my Altum tank though. :drool2:

Where do these angels come from, they look like stock that has its origins in my tanks...... and there are a fair amount of them around in the Western Cape by now.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk

Looks a lot like an Altum now but there's still some characteristics that makes it a scalare.

Prof - soon there will be another 30+ seeking new homes :)

Yes I will, but @Dirk also sells his angels, which will be of better quality. Just see who is the closest to you. It's still a few months before I can sell them. Their bodies are about as big as my fingernails.

No definitely not altum, we do not even need to speculate about this. This fish does not have the altum notch on its forehead and does not show the shadow lines between the dark bars. Razer is quite right, NOT altum.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk
