    @Pezulu,

Excellent, looks like it is going in the right direction.
Shouldn't be too long before it's clear.

    Thanks @Reedfish
We will be doing a WC a bit later, then give the tank time to recover.
A complete rescape will probably be done in a few days.
Granite rocks removed and replaced with volcanic basalt rock, and more Glosso planted in the empty spaces.
A bit of Xmas Moss on some of the rocks should round up the rescape nicely.

    @Pezulu,

I wouldn't rush to do the rescape.
Wait for the water to clear, and give it a few days to settle down first, before you start fiddling.
You don't want to stir things up and possibly trigger another bloom.
But you do have the uv.

Yeah agree with Reedfish, give it a few days rather do the rescape next weekend let all rather settle nicely in your tank before you stir gravel etc around again :)

    Thanks @MariaS

I am trying not to look at the tank too often, but I can see a marked difference even after just 2 hours.
The tank seems clearer, and I can see features that I couldn't see at 07:30 this morning.
Hopefully a 20-30% WC will improve things even more.

I need to get rid of the granite, and replace it with the rocks I got from another member last night.
Also need to get some plastic grid, to place under the new rocks before the substrate is put back.
It is basically going to be a complete rescape of the tank.

All this will probably only happen late next week, or next weekend.

When the granite is removed it will leave massive holes all over the substrate.
To get everything evened out again, as well as putting in the new rocks, I will need to move or shift the substrate.
At least I have more Flourite black and Okinawa sand to finish everything off.

Ours was just as bad except it was white instead of green and the UV light cleared it crystal clear
We stopped the daily water changes, Cesar fitted the uv on the Monday and the Tuesday we did the normal weekly wc.
    Wednesday the tank was clear

I expect about the same 48 hour result from mine.
The UV Steriliser is quite small (15W) so isn't as efficient as the recommended 30W.
Still, it is improving all the time, and is much clearer than it was this time yesterday.
If it keeps improving like it is, by tomorrow evening the tank should be crystal clear again.

You must hire out your uv steriliser out man :) come and install it on the saturday morning and then come fetch it again the sunday evening sure it would have gotten rid of the nasties in 24 hours :)

That is actaully a good idea, apart from the fact that it takes quite a bit if hassle to install and remove again.
Depending on setup, type of filter being used, size of pipe couplings and a few other things it should be fairly easy...
Maybe get a few hoses of varying length and width, a few different couplings for different canister filters ready made up, and installation shouldn't be too difficult.

To play it safe I would leave it on a tank for a week, and then it could be removed again.
That would ensure that any nasties have become less nasty.

Yeah it is a good idea you will make back your costs very easily :) Yeah sure a week will be better so you rock up at your clients house with all your fittings and hoses etc setup the UV and then come back the next weekend LOL.

So how about a photo update :)

I was finally able to see the bubble counter about 2 hours ago, and was able to make a small adjustment on the amount of CO2 being pumped into the tank.
In the past we would have to do a water change, and then use a strong flashlight to look for the bubbles.
