    Hi Salim,

I am glad to hear that your fish has improved. As I explained to you the chances of them recovering are relatively low and it may be that your second fish will not recover. However, you should do to the 20% water change as I had recommended and then give the treatment again. The water change helps against damaging the bacteria in the filter and after you have treated the fishes for next three days, you should again do another water change of about 20%. You should then start again with regularly weekly water changes.

Let me know what the second fish does.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk

    Hi Salim,

I am glad to hear that your fishes are better.

Epsom salts are magnesium sulfate and they have an osmotic effect. However, you first applied sulfonamide drugs in the form of Purbac as I advised you and then you used the Epsom salts. As a result, I think that your deduction that the Epsom salts relieved the problem is not entirely correct, the Purbac was the primary reason why things improved, it was only the Epsom salts that helped with the problem. As a result, I think that one cannot just simply advise that Epsom salts will solve such a problem.

However, the main thing is that your fishes are better, now you should improve the feeding so that they can recover properly.

    Kind regards,

    Dirk
