absolutely its no joke putting together a planted tank that is also a community tank.. especially a planted tank at this level.
its a really big deal, most people will say (and rightly so), that you either have a planted tank with some fish, or you have a fish tank with some plants. coz you would compromise one or the other type of tank, depending on which way you go, so this for me, is quite an achievement to see happening here..
Small 'rescape'. The one piece of wood has been moved a little and the plants planted better, IMO. I lifted the light unit a little to make the light spread better, and also connected an in-line timer. See how the baby angels are growing. If anyone is interested in them: R10 each if you take less than 5. More than 5 will get a better price. Not all of them are sellable as there's a few with bad fins and a few slow growers. I'm struggling to get decent pics with my DSLR. When the tank looks a bit better I'll take some nice pics with my dad's badass DSLR and F2.8 HSM lens. PS: Someone said I'll never have clear water with PFP... Looks clear enough to me.
Looking good dude. My angels seem to have settled in nicely :blink1:. I will take some photos when I can get my canon working.
A.reneckii bitchin' out of the water, but the leaves are drying out. small FTS Nice shot. Java ferns are doing great.
@Razer2007 - Very nice man. Plants are looking nice and healthy and it looks like you have better control of the algae in your tank?
Yes - I have installed a time for the lights and adjusted the CO2 accordingly, so it's all more constant now. The BBA is SLOWLY beginning to rear out. The Hair Algae is so-to-say sorted and there's no staghorn.
Good to hear. I am battling with my fight against algae. I am currently trying the Robalon Algae clear but I don't see much of an improvement. I will do a 40-50% water change on Friday and dose again.
Strange - when you were got the angels you said your tank is more or less stable concerning algae? I have never had any success using chemicals. Not even Microbe-Lift Algaway worked for me, for some weir reason. It's all about light and too much ferts.
I'll see when I get a good pic. I'm more proud of my 3ft river setup but nobody seems to notice that one
