Today I rescaped my 4ft completely. Pics to follow. The loaches and garra's (which I couldn't sell) all went into the river tank.
There's quite a list of fish that I am looking for for this tank, but I will wait untill it grows in a bit more, and settles.

    Tank: 4f - 243L
    Filter - Eheim 2217
    Lights: Dual T5 Oddysea 54W
Substrate: enriched PFP capped with river sand and PFS
    CO2 : injected
    Ferts: DSD

Fish: Angels, Pristella's, Agassizi and Pandurini Apistos, Botia Dario, Long-fin Ancistrus (form Trevor), few random loner fish, Large female Pearl Gourami.

    Story about the substrate.
It's the 2nd time I use the PFP as substrate and I was worries that it's ferts have been depleted, or could have escaped into the water when I took out the big plants like swords. So I used some red clay, dried and crushed it, added nutrifeed powder, and sprinkled it over the PFP before capping with sand. I also added some rusted nails to the PFP. This is my method and will see if it works. I'm not responsible for anyone's damage/losses if they try it.

There's still a few images but I reached the upload limit on the server. It's no big deal. Will send better pics tomorrow anyways.

The tank looks great Razer. The white sand gives a very good contrast to the wood and green plants used. Now how about a lotus lilly for that open space at the back left? If you can, get some Otto's. They seem to keep those green spot algae off the Anubias leaves.

    Good job!

Thanks slomoo! I'd like to get a lotus lily. I could have gotten tiger lotus from Ryno but I don't want to spend too much money on plants, because I have just bought another tank, and I have a huge fish wishlist. I want some ottos - it's on my list, but will get some once the tank is settled a bit better.

Very, very nice . Looks like a planted river somewhere. A nice natural looking tank. You should think of entering this into the TOTM in a few weeks-months :D.

The tank is looking good man, those pieces of wood look pretty impressive. I like the large open swimming space.
What is the plant at the back with the crinkled leaves, looks like a nice background plant.
Be careful wen smoking crypts, it may make cause your brain to melt :canabis:.

Wow very cool, remember to take pic's when they bloom.
Do the stalks grow to the surface or just stay submerged?

    I will :)

The stalks grow to more than a meter. It doesn't stand straight up - it floats on the water like a rope - only the flower stands up out of the water.
