Hahahaha, got it as is with all in it. Only using it temporarily.

Took Titanic out last night  only had it in for the bristle nose Temporarily as I had no wood in and only some of the bad substrate. All I have for the tank is what I got with, except for the HOB I have on now replace the small Dophin one that only did 150 LPH with a CASCADE 200 which does around 700 LPH.

Got some Nice rocks, inclusive of some slate ones I will be adding very soon as soon as I make changes to the substrate :).

This tank is extremely old, realized yesterday areas where it seem to have some week points want to in the next month/2 max replace the glass tank with a newer one and I want to have a painted back on that one. not sure of color yet but thinking of black or light gray.

Hey @Ortaega , looks good, nice progression! I've been running a Cascade 200 on my 3ft for a few months now, I'm pretty happy with it, no complaints. I also haven't had such great luck with corys recently, I'm very keen to get a decent sized population going!

Thank you Roge! Just want to do changes to my substrate and let the tank settle for a little while and give it another try with the cory's and hopefully get some shrimp as well

    Lol, Thnx man!!!

What plants for low tech would be recommended most?
Was thinking to get hold of some moss for the Driftwood and some Java Fern.

@Ortaega Cool no problem, looking much better. Add Anubias, it would look very very nice.

@Ortaega, now it looks very nice!!

Background...if it was mine, I would go black. I find the plants and fish colours stand out against the black
They sell black background at LPS which for that size tank should not be more expensive than buying paint and no smell etc

Thanks, I will then pop in today/tomorrow @ lfs and go the black background look. I thin all the fish, driftwood and plants would look amazing with the background color as you said. It will definitely make the colors stand out more which is exactly what I want.

Also going to try and get some Red Cherry Shrimp together with some Cory cats, cant wait to see the end result

Great! You can also add Java fern, will make nice contrast with the Anubias. That's the advice I followed on mine and even with my crazy fish, they doing well

Good luck with your corries, im no expert but acclimatize them slowly in a bucket. Add water from the tank slowly until percentage of tank water is higher than water they came in.
We had to do that with the stingrays and it takes longer but it worked
