Lekker Ferdie :) Love the way the hydrocotyle grows. It can become a pain, but such a beautiful plant.

R25 - R45 per shrimp I think  depending on quality. I wouldn't spend more than R25 per shrimp tbh. So sorry I gave mine away... if I still had, I would have sent some to you.

So looking at the cleaners in the tank ..
    clean.jpg

I could not help but wonder just how good are they ?

So I have a experiment - I will remove an barrier that has kept them away physically from from glass.

    clean02.jpg

Now I can see how long it takes for the spot to be cleaned.

    clean03.jpg

We will use this pic to do an almost compare over time.

Aw, thanks Lindy. I appreciate the gesture.

My my ottos also seem to be quite efficient cleaners @f-fish. Although only with film, or very short algae. Then again, you don't know how much longer strands of algae would become if they weren't there at all hey?! Your experiment will be interesting.

quick update ... think I need to add some more OC+ and in need of a BiG WC at some point.

Removed the extra T8 LED strip - have not reconnected the red again so running on 5 string of 6530's with one being the non-water proof strip.

Strings have done really well - almost a year running them now.

Celebrating this, I have done nothing. Not a trim WC ... but did loose myself in it for a while.

Thanks all .. have not got around to doing a chop yet, but boy they are running hot.

    2015-12-26da.jpg

This is contributing to a severe population explosion ... and the jungle makes a nice hiding place for fry and such.

Thanks Jamin ... it was time for a trim.

    Before ...

Cleaning crew that excavates any ground cover I plant.

Result ... ok that was more like a pull than trim.

    Look at that dust cloud

Pleased how this Buce has grown.

Added some valis from the outside tank ... obviously a different algae on these leave .. he love going up and down the spiral.

Love having my viewing portal back - with some live action.

    Added a Spirulina tab ...

Everybody wants in on the action.

The colours pop even more than in the photo.

Not sure why I let the side over grow so badly.

Contrary to what you may think, this did not start out as a guppy tank. Now I think I only have two tera's left.
