As empty as it is going to get, doing everything while fish and remaining plants are still in the tank.

Don't have loads of dragon rock lying around, so this will have to do ... I know it is not near high enough for the tank but working with what I have at hand at this hour.

ja well, removed most of the dragon rock, added zeolite etc to give it some height and maybe form a BCB at the back.

But now I need to do some polishing

Went looking for more height for the tank ... found these 3 chunks - clearly from a display tank at the LFS ... could not resit.



Box is 27 x 36 .. to give you some idea on the size ... now to be careful with what I pull out and build on.

Ok - I am now happy with the canvas, none of the dragon rock or the wood is touching the glass, every thing is with a forward lean or a minimum away from the nearest glass panel.



Making sure I have some nice spots for plants that are not going to be planted in the substrate.



Still running the airline right back - instead of CO2 .... going to be interesting to see what this does to my electricity bill in winter.

Not sure if I am going to plant with the emphasis right to left or left to right since I do not really sit on the right hand side at the moment but enter the room from the left ...

@RamsRlife do not have loads of anubias left ... mostly older bits, but should get you started. Do you want some of the other ferns also or just the anubias?

Back is 99% done, lights are of to reduce heat onto the exposed leaves.

Grow lights are from takealot - they have them on special every so often.



these are the buce that either are still attached to the planting rocks or that did not attache onto the rocks but that was still held in place with the planting wires.


Taking a break now ... still have about the same amount to mount, trim and place ..

Decided to have a cup of coffee and just get the job done.

These are the cutting / harvest / doubles - that now needs mounting and a tank to grow in.



Done with 36 degrees - need to let it sit and clear a bit for the complete pic.

Hey F-fish, I noticed that some of the Anubias is a lighter green than the other is this two different types or is it the lighting?

 

Could be what they call them golden anubias or something like that ... they are all planted in a straight stripe ... for some contrast to the rest.
