2012 Aquarium Expo Discussion Thread (Brought to you by TASA & MASA)

Going on the saturday, would have loved to do something with the fish adoption setup there to explain the pro's and con's of the fish we were warned about as newby's

 

I can't wait for the expo. I know that it is going to be a huge success.
I'll definitely be there.

@wsteene and @Vis I also like the idea of t-shirts to the already TASA members.
Putting our nicknames on is a little overboard but kinda up there with bragging rights.

 

@Vis - Don't say it if you don't mean it You've really got me thinking...

@Willem - Would you be open to the idea of doing a 'Responsible Fishkeeping' display? You with the adoptions, me with the dyed, tattooed and surgically altered fish?

 

@Jenn yes I would be but I have no idea where to start.......

 

I think a stall won't be cheap but maybe have a small fund raiser here on the forum to collect money for it?

 

I will most def be there,.....from Polokwane..the city without money..

 

I can't access the site (aquariumexpo.co.za) - out of the country at the moment, by I just get a "problem loading page" everytime. Can someone maybe copy and paste the dates, venue etc, here in the forum?

Tickets will be available at the door for R45. This ticket gives you access to both The Home Expo and AquariumExpo. Kids under 12 are free.

:idea:Bring the expo to Cape Town...follow the home expo to the CTICC....cause some of us have wives that wont allow us to travel to jhb for the expo

 

tcant wait for this guys, going to drag my long suffering SO along lol. i should hope therell be ssome freshwater exhibitors, @SeanJ i would think it would be an awesome platform to get some of your products out there into the hobby.

Just one problem, its wifey's birthday that weekend. She's not going to be happy...

 

Take her to a nice hotel (at emperors) and act amazed that there's a aquarium expo there, and a home expo for her too

 

She knows me better than that... But I might treat her with an early breakfast and then talk her into going for a 'quick' look at the show.

 

Take you wife the Friday for a Romantic dinner, arrange sleepover because you cannot drink and drive, go flatout, rose pedals on bed , lot and lots of bubbly in the Jacuzzi..Then the next morning while she is sleeping of the babie GO FOR IT!!!

 

I'm definitely going to be there...!!!! Maybe we should try and co-ordinate a day when most all of the members can be there so that we can all meet each other...???

Just a thought.
