    Thanks @David Kusner ,

You get them in SA until we had the first ones brought in for us about five years ago.. they were to the best of my knowledge, the first in the Country

After that, there were some that came in but sadly most of them died one way or the other but things have improved and today there are a number ray keepers out there and they doing well
We were also fortunate enough to have the first litter born in SA which we very proud of and another two litters since

Thee are a handful of LFS's that keep them sometimes but not every LFS does

@MariaS That is amazing I never new anyone had them in SA. I saw them on the DIY channel for the first time. How big do they grow and for how long do they live?

I have noticed that in the UK, Rays are becoming more popular and easier to find.
When I started keeping fish a few years after I got to the UK, Rays were considered ultra-specialist that only a select one or two aquarists could keep.
Now the are freely available. Not every fish shop has them, but if you look around, you can get some nice ones, albeit at a price.

Rays are also no longer considered ultra delicate and hard to keep alive.
They do need a bit more care than common tropicals, but if you cater for their needs, they will do well.

I think that the large amount of hybrids coming from the East probably has a lot to do with their increase in popularity and the ease of getting hold of one.

    Thanks @Whoknows

They are adults but will probably still grow a little more although Polkadot shouldnt get much bigger than what she is

The Flagtail is in @Cesar's tank at moment as, one of the Black Diamonds in the video is his male that we brought to my tank for breeding purposes
The activity gets a bit rough at times so we put him n Cesar's tank

    Thanks @David Kusner ....

They certainly are worth being on your bucket list
Only problem is, when you go down the ray road.... almost everything else comes second
