Keep the pic coming. Reading someones step by step tank build is so thrilling! I had the white fungi on my grape vine as well. Its slowly going away. But it doesnt affect the fish does it?
Haha Sorry, i posted this after only reading the first page lol Hey. i found an interesting topic on the reef site about alanod. im not sure if im allowed to post a link here, but you can pm me if you want to. Alanod is a really soft aluminium that looks like a mirror, i think it would work great for your diy t5 lights. and there are some interesting chatter about diy t5 lights. http://www.marineaquariumsa.com/showthread.php?t=7878&highlight=alanod Soz mods if im not allowed to post a link here.
yep. in dubai atm.. so will take pics when im back this wkend! excited to see how my other tanks turned out.. this tank was just cycling for 2wks.. so will add the fish and plants when im back.. thanks for asking
sorry about the quality of the pic.. took it in low light so had to edit it abit.. its been abt 3 wks of cycling now.. just have to build the lights.. dont know why im draging my feet i should add fish in the mean time as well
looks great man, what you gonna do about the water level, ADA tanks are always filled to the brim (need to keep up on the top ups ), also if the water level is right to the top you wont have to worry about ugly water marks
u trying to say my water marks are ugly? haha.. jokes.. ya i know what u mean.. been very lazy recently so havn done topups in 3wks..i noticed that its about 1cm drop per wk! thats like 7.3 liters per week ie1.05l per day! scary.. dude! u have no idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i had a similar design to this. then 2 days ago, i decided to "change it abit" GUESS WHAT!?? took me 4 hours to get it right again!!! im never going to touch the wood again haha..
yep got this wood from petshop.. diy lights arent coming at all.. its all in my head atm.. going to builders to buy materials.. so will start tonight..
Dude! This is gonna be awesome! Can't wait to see this one planted. PS- did you try and move the mound slightly off centre to the left?
yep at the previous page.. @boebie nope i didnt.. but im scared to try move it again.. so going to leave it for now haha..
no planting as yet then... good luck, got some excess Val-Spiralis any maybe some Hydro-polysperma. The problem is how to get them down.
Very nicely done! I'm thinking when I drain my tank to move, I'm gonna do some proper aquascaping before adding my fish again...
That scape is going to be awesome once you get some vegetation in there. It looks very very similar to something I saw on the Practical Fishkeeping site...
