If this was a bargain it would of been sold already.If you want this tank gone, I would definitely reconsider the asking price.

A bargain for you doesn't necessarily mean it's a bargain for someone else.

The tank is well worth the asking price IMHO.

Seriously ? U know i build tanks for a living ?? I know what tanks cost and what they go for ... This tank , stand and sump would easily cost around d 9k new ...In fact ... just the 780x700x350 custom sump in FULL 10MM GLASS would be around 3000 new . So yes I do know it's a bargain .

 

Problem is that a R30 000 tank sold for R2000 is still R500 above my budget. So the value of a tank does not change what people can spend on it.

 

Doesn't mean I can't afford a demo porche that the price must drop to what suits MY pocket .. .if somebody can't afford something then they can't afford it ..

 

That's how the market gets stuffed .. cos if one desperate guy sold something similar for half the price does that make me expensive? Doesn't work like that that ...then soon guys would have to sell 4 ft tanks for R100 .

 

I agree Fuzzy but it does mean you won't sell your tank overnight. You will have to wait for someone that wants that tank and have the money.

I am just saying it's not affordable to all even though it's a great bargain.

The guy that can't afford it can't , just the way life works.

 

I have no issues waiting ... I actually love my tank and loved how it looked ..only reason I'm selling is at the moment I dont have time to look after a marine tank ...but ...I do have time to look at an empty tank and there's no work to be done on it daily ..so yeah when it sells it sells ..I haven't even bothered to try and sell it privately or off tasa or masa that how fine I am with looking at it standing empty here so yeah no need to drop price to suit anybody .

 

Yeah you might just get it going again before selling, saves you a lot buying a new one later

 

I have already measured up 2.4m for the next tank which will be in few months when i have more time ... whether this tank is sold or not ..
