    Added more light to the tank and Rotala rotundifolia,Mayaca fluviatilis.(still need to plant it):amuse:
    Will see in a couple of weeks if it makes a big difference.

    Yes, if your tank is less than 100l! 50% water changes on big tanks does not sound like fun. And besides which, has anybody worked out the cost comparison of throwing 50% of your tank water into the garden weekly verses the cost of normal ferts? Unless there is an advantage to EI other than cost? Am I missing something?

    EI is a dosing method(i use seachem).

    Shows what I know:blink1:. Never bothered reading as I like the dosing as per the bottle routine. So from your statement is it safe to say that you are overdosing with Seachem Ferts and doing a weekly 50% water change to reduce the overdosed quantities?

    I do a lean EI dosing because it's a low tech tank.(e.g I add 5 ml seachem potassium per week)

    I can't remember the dosage instructions on the bottle. Is that more than the "beginners" instructions?
