    CK's get about 80 centimeters in a big tank. They are really active at night. And the same with RTC's If I get my 2m tank or build my outdoor...

    Glass, tank that size, is quite expensive I got a quote on a 2 X 80 X 80, with a sumo, excluding stand for R7000 Thats why I started thinking...

    I found black sand @ R55 for 5Kg's so tomorrow ill go get about 7bags, which will give me 35kg's of substrate.making my substrate about 5cm deep...

    I dont know about the Peat, I think it will make the water rather dirty not? The bag you are referring to, is that now black sand??

    Correct, Jaguar Cichlids are formidable diggers, thats why I would get like 30kg's of substrate and that would make my substrate about 3cm deep.
