I like the idea of testing the bulbs. Maybe you should run one 10000K and one 6500K and not 3 bulbs. The higher light might trigger another algae...
It might be that 10000K gives you a smaller margin for error. Thus with low tech/ No co2 it might have a different effect. I always had Co2...
Cool little tank. I like the grass ground cover. Well done.
Zoom, I disagree with you. I have run for the last 4 years all my tanks with 10000K. When you solved your algae, you also run one bulb less,...
Are you using a spray bar? You can usually run a much bigger filter with a spray bar in a smaller tank.
How do you limit your canister filter?
I agree, but it does become less of an advantage you have. What you have learned in 10 years could be learned in a quarter of the time since...
These days with the internet as source, knowledge is relatively easy to come by. So I don't know if it will really make a huge difference.
Thanks.
I have read that it was in the pipeline but still had to be approved, but I want to find out if it is still on and if anybody know when.
As far as I have read, the smaller LED's isn't sufficient for plants. I have ordered some high power LED's to test (DIY). Waiting for ordered...
Thanks for the pics. Cool DIY. It even withstands pressure from furry feet. :-)
Pics please.
I have started with the EI method recently and it looks like it works. I need to add more plants to see the effect on a heavily planted tank, but...
Hi. I am looking for plants for my high tech tank. I have tried getting some from dolphin for the last month or 2 but he only gets the common...
It would be nice to understand why I can run 10 000K's on my high tech tank and so many other guys without getting algae problems. But it is your...
Maybe you can do a test for us in the name of science and run the 10000K and one 6500K globe. :-) If the algae comes back it is the 10000K globe....
I do things to make it less work and less maintenance time: Auto water changer with solenoid valves Auto topup Pressurized Co2 instead of diy The...
You are right. But if zoom is running 3 x 54w T5's on a 1.2M(assume with 285 litres size) it might be too much light for a non-co2 tank and you...
Assuming you are using T5's, wouldn't 3 T5's be too much light for a low tech tank without Co2 supplementation?
Separate names with a comma.
