Some times we over complicate things when they are fine the way they are. Allow your filters to mature before removing any biological media....
If it's not broke don't fix it. Do regular water changes and use purigan spelling

Hi you need to understand the different types of filtration first. Biological filtration is filter media that allows good bacteria to grow on it....
