    I have been looking for Betta bellica for years now. Does anyone know any breeders of wild Betta species in SA?

    No wild betta breeders in CPT unfortunately. They do come up on lists but then you'll have to spend over a grand on a pair

    The importers / fish shops get lists from their suppliers.

    Perhaps contact some local fish shops and see if they can assist.
    Wild bettas are quite rare, and will probably be expensive.

    Yes , from all the big ones in the country. Obviously, local stores are struggling and we should be supporting them but they're never going to bring in the ultra rare species, having spoken to a few they don't even want to bring rare cichlids that are R30-50 more than normal cost.
