the gold and red looks amazing, lol same here , can get the show quality betta's but no more space , need a male barracks and a new breeding setup. It just doesnt stop lol

 

Busy building more tanks as i type. I am planning n multi male tank that will be built next

 

This is awesome , this setup build out of glass? And how big u planning it to be . Have been looking at other peeps ideas on the net but its too small , dont like it. This got good potential. And what filters u planning to use?

 

3ft glass tank with 5 black acrylic perforated deviders, 3 smaller heaters, 1 in every 2nd chamber. Filter either a sump or a canister

The deviders black so the males dont see each other and flare themself to death.

 

Very nice , maybe think of replacing all those heaters with an canister inline heater or heater in the sump, there is some nice homemade ideas aswell but very keen to see your setup when its done .

 

I was thinking of using a larger heater in the sump. I am leaning towards a sump with this setup. Will post some pics when i build it i just built a 2ft breeding tank.

Botom right on pic is the legend.
Clear glass, front back and sides
Deviders (black)acrylic perforated
The middel right is ( single long T5/T8 )

Top left is water flow indicated with ext filter ( sump or canister )

The diveders are perforated on oposite sides the have a zigzag water flow patern.

Heaters will be moved to sump instead of the tank

Hello, where u got the deviders from? And in what sizes can one get them?

 

I had them cut to size from Maizey Plastics here in klerksdorp.

 

Nice shot bud, are they just called acrylic perforated plastic or is the a specific name for it?

 

I got standard black acrylic, i am going to drill small holes for the flow. Will post a pic when i am home.

 

this sounds to be a good idea. let me know how it works out for you
i'm trying to do something like this with a 3ft. i cant stop buying betta's always end up swoping because i run out of space

Building my multi betta tank.

I used a grid and decided where to drill my flow holes


Then i drilled the holes


Cleaned the edges of the holes


Decided to split my 2ft in 4 compartments
