    Thanks guys , only issue now is a small snail problem , wanted to throw in a few Sebra loaches but I also have shrimp in the tank.I tried the snail trap and it doesnt work that well, What i saw yesterday was white specs / blotches on the glass , not sure if these are snail eggs.dont have a high quality camera to take pics.

    Heres a pic of more or less what the shell looks like

    Sorry I'm late to the discussion, but the progress on your tank is awesome! And it's inspired me to do something similar with my 3ft tank and steel stand.. Thanks for step by step updates, it helps others like me that are new..

    Can honestly say my Zebra loaches have never bothered with my shrimp at all.

    Update time guys ,

    some changes

    I made my own spiderwood with cherry wood ,
    Gave all my fish away , including my Betta and got a school of Harlequin Rasboras this afternoon.
    Pressurised co2 system up and running for a few days now.

    Hopefully i should see better results in a few months time.
