Diy canister success story

Good day diyers alike id like to let you know that I have successfully built a canister filter for my 300 liter aquarium. the reason I am sharing this is because many told me that it was one impossible and too expensive. but id just like to say that not only has it brought my nitrate from over 500 (I know ow that's really high) down to +- 20 it cost under R1000 and I know everyone has been struggling because of covid so if anyone would like to know the full details about the build ill be happy to share them. I just thought id write this to stick it to those who filled my head with nonsense and to prove that with proper research and training anything can be achieved.
