Diseases killing only blue guppies

I picked up trouble with my guppy tank. 150 liters of trouble.

My fish started dieing from Saterday. Already lost 6 guppies. Ok I made a huge mistake and now paying the price. I bought some fish while back and without putting them in quarintine,I put them in the tank. (Stupid,stupid,stupid) sorry about that.:bawling:

But what is strange is only my blue guppys that is dieing. Why does it affect only the blue guppies. What can this be?

 

Is it males and females dying or just the 1 sex?

 

Thats probably the most common mistake ppl make!

The reason its probably only affecting the moscows is because it is a highly line bread strain that often leads to weaker genetics, also they were most likely bread under sterile conditions(2 increase breeders survival rate) so have very littly exposure 2 the germs other fish have built up natural immunety 2 thus if you dont quarantine and treat new fish they carry the bugs into your tank...

 

1 of them was a female and the rest all males.

 

What are the symptoms? Fins clamping, heavy breathing, hiding, fungus spots?

 

Just lying on gravel, heavy breathing. No fungus spots, the one I found yesterday only his fin was torn the rest was all fine. No red gills.

 

My last water change on the tank was on sunday morning. But I did do a top up yesterday afternoon.

 

How hectic is the flow in the tank? IE: The water circulation?

What other fish are in the tank?

 

I did a 80 % water change on sunday. then usually I do a 30 % in the week. Will be doing another 30 % change this afternoon.

Only have 3 corydoras and 2 X 12 cm pleco in the tank. O and 2 small balloon mollies. The guppies thats left is only about 5 females and 4 males.

My internal pump pumps about 700l hour.

 

Do they struggle to swim in the current at all?

I'd remove the balloon mollies... I find that they are always disease carriers. IME, anyways.
