    Out governement 2 years ago said it was unlikely Covid would reach Europe. After several stupid conclusions and assumptions after that they caught two planes out of South Africa IN FLIGHT and put the passengers in a quarantinehotel.
    60 were positive, but as if dozens of flights before didn't allow the virus to come in.

    What I think is strange that the SA scientist who discovers this type, constantly repeated that it seems to be quite mild but the world is reacting differently / in panic.
    And the rest of the world doesn't know anything.

    Today out healthdepartments states that the the virus COULD cause double hospitalisation.

    Yeah could, possible, maybe, etc begins to get really tiring.

    Max 4 guests with Christmass, no childeren visitong their grandparents, schools closing a week earlier, boosters etc etc....

    Here we come Covid-year 3 !!!!
    It all started at the moment I decided to divorce and left the house. Is that a coincidence or is this related ??????

    Please all stay safe and let's pray this will be over next year.

    Firstly, sorry about your divorce, I know first hand the traumatic experience that can cause. Possibly related, hmmm perhaps :rolleyes:

    The different approaches taken by governments really amazed me and rather unfortunate that SA or Africa as a whole was targeted as so called "hot spots" yet China, the source of this has been given the green light. After the whole ZTE debacle and the reported dishonesty by the Chinese government, how did their reporting be trusted in any way is beyond me. In all honesty and solely my opinion it's got everything to do with their position in the stock markets or the economy as a whole. Fast forward to now, there's been so many reasons for this Omicron to be regarded as a milder form of the virus than the delta, however SA is still being held "captive" so to speak.

    On this note I have to admit, the UAE has been on top of their game handling this situation. It took just the first positive case which were 3 of the same house hold for every Emirate to close a hospital and reserve it for covid related cases only. The protocols in place were immediately in effect even before it spread outside of Dubai. Dubai did open sooner than the other Emirates only because their economy relies mainly on travel but inter Emirate travel had restrictions including having a negative test less than 48hrs old. These borders were only recently removed. I admit though with a population of only 11Million it was alot easier than most other countries to control

    @Henrivr

    If I go away for more than 10 days I get someone to come and feed my fish every few days.
    Never used these holiday block type foods.

    How long are you away for?
    Where are you going ??

    @Reedfish

    I arranged with someone to come and feed but they dropped me, so i thought i could use the holiday block even though I don't want to.
    Luckily I managed to arrange with someone else to come and feed.
    Im going away for 10 days to the FREEEEEEEESTATE!
