This Reedfish comes out when I feed flake to the cichlids, and eats it off the surface
The other one is still very shy

When I was visiting the various fish shops on the weekend, I saw a fantastic Bristle Nose Plec at one of them.
Good size, with a huge clump of bristles. I have a female in the tank, so I decided to get him.

As soon as I released him, he disappeared into the pile of wood, and have not seen him since. So no photos as yet.

It’s been just over two years since I made this change to my setup.
It’s been a”mixed bag”. Some of the fish I kept did well. Others not so. The rarer types don’t do well in a community type setup. The probably best in a single species tank.
Anyway, it’s been a learning curve for me too

What is your PH in this tank? Not ideal to have plants and wood when keeping tangs.

The one is very very shy.
I hardly see it, and not sure how it's getting enough food tbh.
The other one comes out to eat every time I feed the other fish - it has even taken to flake.
