All good, even new growth on leaves that took a bit of a knock.

I'm impressed. If I compare what you did and what I did with H2O2, I will have to find a way to dip my affected plants in citric acid. Awesome.

Had some time this morning divided a bit of anubia that was in 36 degrees - rock mounted and citric acid dip, but this time after the mounting.

28g 2l 10 min - not allot of algae, but keen to see what is does to weaker leaves on some old growth.

Now to find some tank space for them bits.

Wow that is a lot of coffeefolia you have there. I have managed to split the one you gave me into 3 or 4 pieces, I think. One is a bare rhizome and I'm hoping the new shoot will grow but it's taking its time to come up and open as a new leaf.

Please let us know how it goes, always good to see how others do things. Just remember this is for dipping only ... do not add it directly to your tank.

I've done this and it helped a lot. Read the box and tried it on one of my brass items - works very well

Nice ... yeah I think this is an acid that has only found it way into cooking more than the hobby so experimentation is needed.

I also read that it is supposed to clean glass but I doubt you can keep a shower glass that clean after one shower - tried that and I'm not sure if I'm mixing it right or not leaving it on for longer or that the glass is stubborn to be cleaned.

The only issue with the brass item is that the surface doesn't shine so I probably will have to revert back to Brasso to polish it. It's an old weight system with tiny little weights on - it came from my grandfather.

How long do you clean it in the solution? And do you just soak it in clean water afterwards or rinse?

10 minutes seems to be just fine - probably depending on how bad things are. Yeah it gets rinsed before it moves on. Do NOT add it directly to your tank ;-)

Any food shop should have it ... in the baking section.

    Perhaps I should try it.
I had disastrous results with H2O2 and my Bolbitis.
Knowing that it is susceptible to H202 I decided to use a very weak 3% solution of 2ml in 5 litres of water, and dip the small piece of Bolbitis for 10 minutes.
After 5 minutes I started doubting myself, and removed the Bolbitis, and placed it back in the tank.

    The results speak for themselves...

Yeah - I have for the most part banned H2O2 in the fishroom ... just one to many time I either got it wrong or the H2O2 does not react as expected ... Unlike the H2O2 that you where you see immediate results the citric acid is more a trust the dipping process. Then when you add the plants back into the tank over the next few days you see the algae either being eaten off or it changes colour slowly as it dies.
