Finally he/she has accepted the floating cichlid pellets!just have to get things going with a block of bloodworm and then all hell breaks loose in the tank

Nice silver, try have as much water movement at tank mid levels and as little as possible at the surface and you will see him hunt and hover just under the surface plenty .

 

It's nice that you allow him to jump for his food, usually people have low fitting lids to discourage them from jumping, but I don't think this is good practice, I mean they are not just called monkey fish by the natives for nothing.

Also have moved the power head closer to the middle of tank and he/she is hunting as stated...awesome fish to keep just hoping finances allow for the big tank to be built soon
