I arrived home on Friday night to find my Jag Youngsters had spawned. It was expected because thay had been digging out one of my containers for plants.......

They are about a year old and are unfortunately from the same parents, so if we do get a hatch and survival, they will have to be sacrificed.
It looks like the *$#@#!!!!!! snails are doing that job for me anyway.... otherwise they will make good banjo chow.....

will attach pics when the PC wants to work.....

Why would you want to sacrifice them? there is nothing wrong with them?

Interbreeding, I dont want deformed or damaged fish, not fair to them.

Both are from the same parents (incest is such an ugly term, but they are brother & sister)

well, too late, I just went past the tank and the snails have had supper.....
I just dont like to breed any directly related fish, I have got in some fresh blood from a breeder in Grahamstown, so they will be separated from tomorrow.

Will do, I would rather sell them on the site than to a lfs, at least here I know that they will be treated decently.

I think they can interbreed for 6 generations before you going to have problems. But putting new genes in the pool is a great idea.
